An automotive logistics company had to transport monitoring the identity cards of drivers of transport companies, the vehicles picked up from the grounds of the company, out calls and scanned them. The scanned documents are stored on a separate computer. The Lower Saxony State Data Protection Commissioner had prohibited the company then scanning and storage of the identity cards of drivers. Furthermore, the unlawful stored data should be deleted. The logistics company responded by filing a lawsuit before the Administrative Court of Hanover. It is directed against the prohibition of the implementation of store operations and cancellation arrangement.
